All levels of Yogis and writers welcome
$100 off until January 1, 2025!
Join in community with other writers for a week of connecting to nature, grounding yourself, nourishing your soul, and finding creative rejuvenation.
This 6-night writing and Yoga retreat held in an extraordinary beach town in Costa Rica is a chance to connect with other writers and creatively re-set. Staying in a hotel built sustainably into the jungle, this is a retreat for people who are as excited to experience the natural beauty of Costa Rica as they are to dig into their writing projects.
The retreat offers Yoga and meditation classes taught by 500h Costa Rican teacher Julian Regulus, and writing workshops from me, Ali Vingiano, a WGA Award-nominated TV writer.
Our focus will be on deep healing through moving out of our heads and into our bodies, and through cultivating a space to push past fear and connect to our creative core. Ground yourself with Yoga and meditation in a gorgeous open-air studio before taking writing workshops, or opting for solo writing time. Swim in a natural waterfall in the jungle while howler monkeys swing nearby. Drink a smoothie by the pool, or walk a few minutes to the pristine beach. Eat the freshest fruit, veggies, and fish you’ll ever have next to inspiring new creative friends.
We did this retreat in 2022, and trust me: It is an incredible and transformative trip. There’s a reason we’re going back for more!
Location:
Nosara, Costa Rica is a magical place that’s considered the Yoga capital of Central and South America. You’ll take the best Yoga classes of your life here! It’s also a “blue zone” — a town where people are proven to live longer than anywhere in the world. Many locals will tell you this is due to their laid-back lifestyle that emphasizes pura vida — a pure life — in addition to healthy, fresh, organic food.
Unwind, connect to your core creativity, and find your own pura vida in this special place.
We will be staying at a gorgeous boutique hotel in the center of town, within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and boutique shops. The hotel has a fantastic restaurant where we’ll eat our breakfast, lunch, and some dinners — other nights, we’ll try the amazing food in town.
Read about Nosara: New York Times, Tierra Magnifica, Condé Nast Traveler
We will be the only guests staying at the hotel. However, the hotel offers public group Yoga classes and has a restaurant that’s open to the public. You’re welcome to sign up for the hotel’s offerings, like aerial Yoga and sound baths, in addition to the retreat’s private classes.
The hotel’s central location provides the best of both worlds: This retreat will be an intimate group experience, but there will be plenty of opportunities for adventuring in the local community.
PLEASE NOTE: You will be outside A LOT of the time, whether it’s during Yoga classes in the open-air Shala, or while walking to dinner on the town’s dirt (and sometimes muddy) roads. Nosara is built into the jungle. There are very few paved roads. Monkeys can often be seen jumping from the trees above. There are bugs. While our accommodations are stunning and comfortable, this is a retreat for people who enjoy the outdoors.
